Osita Abana
Founder
Osita Abana is an accomplished social impact and sustainability leader, with a wealth of experience in delivering development programmes that make a positive difference in communities around the world. With extensive experience in the corporate and multilateral sectors, Osita has held management positions in renowned corporations such as The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo and Unilever. He has also served at The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
Osita’s ability to bring together diverse stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and the private sector, has enabled the implementation of multistakeholder programs that have transformed lives in communities around the world.
Osita oversees the pursuit of Mevana’s vision to help create a world without pregnancy-related deaths. His extensive experience in development leadership has also been pivotal in advancing Mevana’s mission to help disadvantaged pregnant women access good quality healthcare.
Osita holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University, New York, United States; a Master’s degree in International Relations from Hertie School of Governance, Berlin, Germany and a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication & Public Affairs from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom, where he graduated with distinction. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria.
