Dr. Opeyemi Odedere

Dr. Opeyemi Odedere is a distinguished public health expert currently serving as Country Director of Rice360 in Nigeria. With a wealth of experience in managing public health programs and a passion for finding innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges, Dr. Odedere is a driving force in advancing healthcare accessibility in Nigeria.

Before joining Rice360, Dr. Odedere worked for Save the Children international, where he held positions of increasing responsibility including: Maternal Newborn & Child Health Technical Advisor, Health Project Manager and Child Health & Immunization Specialist.

Before joining Save the Children International, Dr. Odedere served as a Programme Manager at Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria, where he made substantial contributions to reproductive health and family planning initiatives in the country. Additionally, his background includes clinical experience in several hospitals. He served as a Medical Officer at Maryland Specialist Hospital and General Hospital Odeda, Abeokuta. He was also a Medical House Officer at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

Dr. Odedere earned his medical degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Birmingham, and a professional diploma in Humanitarian Health and Nutrition from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
